We are pleased to announce that Beijing Shiji Information Technology Co., Ltd (“Shiji”) and Infrasys (HK) Ltd (‘Infrasys”) have merged! Shiji has acquired 70% shareholding of Infrasys through its wholly owned subsidiary, Focus Information Technology Co. Ltd. After the acquisition, Infrasys will become an important member of the Shiji group.
Infrasys was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1994, specializing in the development and sales of point-of-sales (“POS”) solutions in the hospitality sector. Over the past decade, Infrasys has established a strategic position in the global market, which was originally dominated by European and American suppliers; and become one of the major POS solutions providers in Asia. The company’s market share in hotels, clubs and high-end restaurants exceeded 60% in Hong Kong and in Singapore. In mainland China, Infrasys is also a major player in the POS industry. Currently, Infrasys’ solutions are deployed in more than 3,000 high-end restaurants and clubs in over 20 countries around the globe.
Infrasys is a software company which emphasizes on technology and service. The company has won many professional awards in Hong Kong, China and Asia. It has also received due recognitions from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. Infrasys provides an excellent POS solution which has multi-functionalities, cross-platforms flexibilities and able to handle multiple languages. The affiliation of Infrasys to Shiji’s existing family creates synergies in the areas of technology, products, sales management and customer service. It is Shiji’s philosophy to respect and protect the interests of its shareholders, business partners and customers when making business decisions. Due considerations have been given to protect the interests of Shiji’s major and long-term strategic partner, MICROS; and MICROS has expressed their support to the proposed union of Shiji with Infrasys. With this merger, the new Infrasys will be able to cooperate with MICROS at all levels. With immediate effect, Infrasys’ software will be fine tuned to run on MICROS’s world-class POS hardware. This cooperation will provide the global customers, especially those in Asia, the best possible POS solutions which are provided by Shiji. The strategic partnership between Shiji, MICROS and Infrasys will be a win-win situation for all parties.
The alliance of Shiji and Infrasys will mean that the abilities of both companies are compounded, in terms of business strategies and technology innovation. It will enhance the management of cost, improve operation efficiency and provide the customers and business partners with a boarder range of products, services and solutions.
The merger will not affect any previous Infrasys’ commitments in terms of service and partnerships. They will remain unchanged.
